The Highlander magazine is 80 pages of stories about Scotland's past, news from Scottish-American groups, ads and "clan cards" giving information about the many Scottish clan societies in the US and Great Britain. It has a limited number of color pages. I receive the editorial copy, format it, scan most of the photos myself or send them to the printer to be scanned. Then I place the ads (occasionally producing them first), fill in the editorial, proof everything and send it off to the printer halfway across the country.
